Non Trophy Game aren’t always available – it depends if they need to be managed / culled and this need also changes by the year and by the season.
Non trophies = Females, young males, males with broken horns & runt / poor quality animals, unless specified below.
Females may only be shot in their dry times.

Occasionally broken horns or 1 horn are available, but no guarantee they will be available at the time of your hunt. Females and males also aren’t always available – it depends if they need to be managed / culled and this need also changes by the year and by the season , so Please ask your PH what is available at the time of your hunt.
As many of these could be very old animals – there is no guarantee the hide will be perfect, even after tanning. However, most hides turn out fine but there are some exceptions - this risk is on the hunter.
SMALL MAMMALS & BIRDS US $ :
Most of these animals are difficult to get and opportunistic. No dogs are used by us.
Unless specified all are only available from Feb – Aug, except Males, if identifiable, any time.

Quota Species
For Buffalo, Rhino, Sable and Roan, a percent of the trophy fee is required upon booking as a deposit which will be a credit on the safari of the booked animal. Cancellation or change of date will result in the loss of the deposit.

Rifle hire = US$20 per day includes reasonable amount of ammo (only 1 of each is available : .222, .243, .30-06, .375 H&H Mag, 12 gauge side by side).
A firearm rental day is defined as: If the gun goes out in the truck it has been rented for the day even if no shot has been fired with it or if it does not get used at all.

Additional PH US$135 per day.
- If you choose to use a Taxidermist other than Taxidermy Africa our storage of your Trophies will cost $ 500 which is payable to Richard Holmes Safaris at the end of your safari, and is refundable if other taxidermist picks up your trophys with in a week of your departure. As we have a permanent long term relationship with Taxidermy Africa they are punctual about picking up your Trophies from us. The hunter must also supply enough tags from the other taxidermist for PH here to write on the details of each animal eg. hunters name, species, skull & horns, cape etc.( supply 3 tags per animal )
