In all the seasons we never have bad weather which prevents hunting, hence we can and do hunt from Feb - Nov.
Humidity is always very low in our area. It is a dry semi-desert region with annual rainfall of 9”-19” per year, with average of 15” per year.
Summer. Scattered thunder showers of short duration, days mostly getting up to around 90 f in the afternoons (max 110 f, min 75 f), little wind, long daylight from 5am-7:30pm, veld is green and lush/quiet to walk.
Fall. Very little rain, days mostly around 75 f (max 90 f, min 50 f), little wind, daylight from 6am-6pm, veld is green and lush, grass turning yellow/quiet to walk.
Winter. No rain, days mostly around 65 f (max 75 f, min 30 f), very little to no wind, short daylight 7am-5pm, some frosty mornings, veld is mostly dried off and yellow/still is quiet to walk.

Summer. Some small thunder storms, days mostly around 80 f (max 90 f, min 50 f), winds very mild, daylight 5am-8pm, veld variable: dry brown and crunches underfoot/noisy to walk or can be lush green and quiet to walk, depending on when the rains come.
The veld in the Eastern Cape has medium sized mountains, open treeless plains with short, knee high grass and bushes (occasionally grass and bushes can grow to waist high). Plains are cut by small, dry rivers lined with trees and have interspersed low hills (koppies).
